Overview
QLM Search is working with a much-loved global food manufacturer that’s home to some of the most recognisable brands in the industry. As the business continues to grow and invest in its global procurement capabilities, they’re now looking to hire a Procurement Director to take ownership of the Marketing category — covering everything from digital and media to creative agencies, POS and NPD.
It’s a key role that needs someone who’s just as comfortable shaping strategy as they are working closely with senior stakeholders. If you’ve built global category strategies before, know how to unlock value beyond just cost - this could be a great fit.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading global marketing procurement across digital, creative, agencies, production, POS, and media
- Building out both global and local category strategies that support brand, digital, and innovation goals
- Working closely with senior leaders in marketing, brand, commercial and NPD to align procurement with campaign, innovation, and customer priorities
- Helping the business get the most out of its agency partnerships — not just commercially, but creatively too
- Developing toolkits, frameworks, and processes to upskill regional and country-level procurement teams
- Putting strong supplier management and governance frameworks in place
- Supporting regional teams with the tools, insights, and processes they need to succeed
Minimum Qualifications
- Someone who’s already led procurement in marketing or creative categories - across more than one market
- A strong understanding of how to manage complex spend areas like media, digital, and agency services
- Experience building category strategies from the ground up, not just maintaining what’s already there
- A natural collaborator who can build relationships with global marketing and NPD teams - and knows how to speak their language
- Experience in the food or beverage industry is a must.
