Procurement Director
QLM is working with a well-known global food manufacturer that continues to scale and modernise its procurement function. As part of that journey, there’s now a need for a Global Procurement Director to lead the General Indirects category — covering everything from facilities, logistics and fleet, to travel, IT, professional services, and more.
This role is ideal for someone who’s not just commercially sharp, but curious — someone who wants to understand how the business works, and where procurement can unlock value beyond just savings. You’ll be responsible for reviewing current sourcing models, identifying opportunities for improvement, and developing smart, flexible strategies that work across both global and local levels.
This position can be based in multiple European locations including UK, Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland or France.
- Taking full ownership of the global procurement strategy across general indirects — including logistics, warehousing, utilities, travel, facilities, IT, and services
- Working closely with stakeholders across operations, finance, IT and supply chain to understand needs and shape category plans accordingly
- Reviewing current procurement models and identifying areas for improvement — whether that's supplier consolidation, contract optimisation or introducing new sourcing approaches
- Managing supplier relationships, performance, and risk, with a strong focus on service, cost and compliance
- Supporting local markets with sourcing tools and guidance, while driving alignment across regions
- Bringing greater visibility and control to indirect spend, while keeping procurement agile and responsive to business needs
- Strong experience in procurement of general indirects across multiple categories — ideally in a complex or global organisation
- Someone who’s led indirect strategies before, and knows how to work with stakeholders to build buy-in and deliver results
- A commercially minded problem-solver — sharp on cost, but also on service, value, and long-term outcomes
- A confident communicator who knows how to bring clarity to complex sourcing decisions
- Ideally someone from an FMCG, food or beverage company.
